“They think we are invisible”: gender, outsourcing, and popular legal education

Abstract

In this paper, we analyse the precarization of labor conditions of outsourced cleaning workers at the Federal University of Bahia. Based on the journals and reports made during the experience of the Course on the Fundamentals of Human Rights and Citizenship "Promotoras Legais Populares e Coletivo Madás" at the University, it was possible to observe how the markers of gender and race deepen the processes of exclusion inherent to the outsourcing practice.
