Study of possible relationship between tinnitus and vertigo

PURPOSE: to check possible association and periodicity among of tinnitus complaint and vertigo. METHODS: 50 subjects without hearing loss with or with no vertigo, from both genders with age ranging from 45 to 64 years were included in the research. The tinnitus and vertigo complaint was verified through standard audiological history. RESULTS: no association between tinnitus and vertigo was found in these subjects. CONCLUSION: the results from this pilot study suggest no association between tinnitus complaint and vertigo.
