Paradaemonia Bouvier, 1925 has 14 exclusively neotropical species, widely distributed from Mexico to Argentina. Here a new species, Paradaemonia meridionalis sp. nov., from Central Southern Brazil is described. The species described below is closely related to Paradaemonia castanea (Rothschild, 1907) and P. platydesmia (Rothschild, 1907) group.
