Distribuição vertical de Teredinidae (Mollusca, Bivalvia) em Portogallo, Angra dos Reis, Rio de Janeiro, Brasil

In order to study the vertical distribution of Teredinidae at Angra dos Reis, State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 30 collectors of wood sheets (Araucária sp.) were submerged (10 at each depth) at 0,2, 2 and 4 m, respectively. Among the species collected, Lyrodus floridanus was the only one that did not whow significant variation in number of individuals in relation to depth. All the other species were unaffected, in number of individuals, by the different depths tested.
