This article registers nocturnal aggregation behaviour of the males of Actinote surima surima (Schaus, 1902) studied at the city of Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil. There is little knowledge on the ethology and ecology of the adults of Actinote Hübner, [1819], considering the great number of species registered, approximately 26 species and 36 subspecies nominated for the Neotropical region. Territorial roosting and mating system are comparatively discussed with the genus Heliconius Kluk, 1780.
