Challenges in worker’s health intervention

Abstract

This essay aims at reflecting on the role of intervention in worker’s health, its objects and modalities in the current context characterized by the recent labor reform and outsourcing laws, by the new frames of management and developments in production and services technologies. Intervention is conceived as a process for consolidating changes in work situations in order to eliminate or reduce related work problems and, at the same time, increase workers’ individual and collective ‘pouvoir d’agir’. After all, reflecting on the intervention also leads to pondering on the power of professional action and research within the worker’s health field, as well as on what is expected from institutions in the new labor configurations in Brazil.
