O Brasil frente ao conflito regional na América Central: oposição ao intervencionismo e apoio à solução negociada, justa, equilibrada e duradoura (1979-1996)

The article analyzes some aspects of the Brazilian perception about the regional conflict in Central America, between 1979 and 1996. The conclusion suggests that the foreign policy towards the conflict was based on the so-called "Brazilian thesis" about the origin, the evolution and the possible mechanisms of solution to the regional conflict.
