Evaluation of the Hydrometeorological Parameters on Sorocaba River Watershed - SP

Abstract

Understanding the water cycle assists in the planning process of water resources, in projects of hydraulic works and environmental studies. This work was performed the evaluation of hydrometeorological parameters and the quantification of water flow in each of the major phases of the hydrological cycle, allowing the proposal of a circulation model of the water on Sorocaba river watershed-SP. The parameters were estimated by water balance equation, the historical datas of rainfall, temperature and flow of hydrometeorological network and information in the process of use concession of the water resources. Considering that the average annual flow in the river mouth more flow of consumed water corresponds to the sheet surplus, the difference between results estimated and observed was less than 10%. The average annual flow in the watershed more consumed flow was 63.9 m3 s-1, which corresponds to 25% of the average annual rainfall volume. Estimated water surplus was 56.5 m3 s-1, ETP 1,011 mm year-1 and ETR 999 mm year-1. This information contributes to planning the use of water resources in the watershed.
