The incipient process of peronization of the Argentine student movement in the beginning of the sixties

Abstract:

In this article we propose to make a contribution to the understanding of the peronization process of the Argentine student movement, from the perspective of the case study in three national universities, from the crisis of the traditional containment structures of the same in the first part of the sixties of 20th century. To do this, we have triangulated oral sources, the product of interviews with key actors of the period studied, with some speeches, memoirs, articles or bibliographic materials of the time, etc. Well, to understand the transmutation of student consciences during the sixties and its impact on the political events that characterized the end of the decade, it is necessary to approach the entrance to it from the student’s point of view, the fissures and leaks in the large organizations that contained the youth, in addition to the turning points prior to the military intervention of 1966.
