Early childhood education and academic production: (re) constructing trajectories of its intellectuals (1970-1998)

Abstract:

This article is inserted in the intellectual history context and aims to analyze and present, albeit in an essayistic way, in the period delimited here (1970-1998), the construction of sociability networks in the intellectual early childhood educational field. We started from 78 articles published in the area in three periodicals recognized in the Brazilian scenario. We are based on the propositions of the historian Jean-François Sirinelli and his categories, namely: generations, itineraries, and networks of sociability. This work is divided into three parts: the research groups, their leaders, and their publications. Next, we design itineraries, generations, and networks of sociability of five ‘great’ intellectuals. In the end, we understand that such a network held the leadership in the educational ideas’ circulation, producing and advising materials of national visibility. In addition, they formed new generations that acted and still do in prominence in this scenario.
