We analyzed many aspects about teaching, and all school process established on Maria Estephania de Macedo’s administration, which was fundamental to the schools at that local. For elaborating this study we used Minas Gerais’ laws, government reports, among other sources. To work with those sources, we used Michel de Certeau’s strategies concepts and tactics, to comprehend local tactics that helped with primary schools’ maintenance, and to analyze political strategies used to suppress rural schools in Minas Gerais.
