Abstract
This article deals with the memory and oblivion of Afro-Brazilian cultural legacies in the cultural heritage preservation policies in Brazil. To do so, it problematizes the actions of IPHAN from the perspective of public policies for the reparation of Afro-Brazilians in Brazil, in relation to the recognition and appreciation of Afro-Brazilian cultural references.
