Frente Popular, Modernização e Revolução Passiva no Chile

This paper discusses the meaning of the 14 years of the Partido Radical government that followed the Popular Front triumph in Chile in 1938. In this period, Chile was able to combine economic growth and representative demovracy and to achive an expressive degree of modernization when it was creatd a new conexion among economy, politics and social relations. The period is characterized as a specific Kind of passive revolution, responsible for the capitalist order actualization in the country.
