The article presents the central ideas of the homonymous dissertation, preoccupied about the identification of the regionalist ideology of the São Paulo's state, the building of some images utilizing the tradicional history, by the paulista oligarchy's intelectuals, and also the projection of those historic-traditional characteristics of that ideology through the time by way of public teaching.
