ABSTRACT
According to the author, in the twenty-first century there will be a discovery of the importance of the Polish master's research and - especially through the mediation of the Workcenter of Jerzy Grotowski and Thomas Richards - it will be possible to use the results of the history and a conception of actors's and directors's praxis free from ideological and moral prejudices, so that Grotowski's legacy will be one of the foundations of a new theatrical culture, based on presence and encounter.
