Care models as a structural axis for interdisciplinary and multi-professional health activities

This article discusses the complex question health care models and proposes the theoretical and methodological construction of a model articulating teaching and service delivery by means of an interdisciplinary and multi-professional approach. This construction would be one of the structural axes in the consolidation of curricular guidelines proposing changes in the education (and in the practice) of professionals working in the health area. Such changes would meet the prerogatives of the Brazilian care delivery model known as SUS and would be based on professional qualification focused on the social health needs of the country and seeking to deliver comprehensive care. The Teaching and Assistance Program (Programa Docente-Assistencial - PDA) of Florianópolis - a space where teaching activity and service delivery are articulated allowing continued reflection on the micro work processes of its participants - is considered an ideal scenario for the discussion/construction of this proposal.
