O ESTUDANTE DE MEDICINA E SUA DIFICULDADE DE DISPOR DE TEMPO LIVRE PARA PRÁTICA DE ATIVIDADES CULTURAIS EXTRA-ACADÊMICAS

Abstracts:

This paper has the purpose to show the difficulty of the Medicine's Student concerning his extra-academic activities. The data were obtained from a questionary filled by graduation students from all medical classes. It was considered the answers of three questions. They permitted to evidence the students interest for cultural activities, the relative frequency of practicing the activity in the semester of the research comapring to the former semester and the reasons that lead him not to practice, to stop or to decrease the practicing in the semester he was. From six student's most interesting activities, it was observed that the highest index of abandon was found at the end of the course and the main reason for that was the course of Medicine itself: It takes a big amount of the free extra-class time of the student. It will be discussed aspects that lead them to have this behavior and also the consequences of such a situation to the students and to the society.
