The cloud chamber as a pedagogical strategy for teaching cosmic rays

The cosmics rays are ultra-penetrating particles which come from different events in the universe passing through the atmosphere and reaching the earth’s surface. In this work, we aim to explain what cosmic rays are, their detection and how we build a cloud chamber. We also intend to propose a teaching-learning methodology of knowledge relevant to physical phenomena involving cosmic rays through project-based learning. From this perspective, the students developed a project to build a cloud chamber and recorded the detection of these rays in the chamber.
