Just-in-Time Teaching for Physics and Science Education: a Systematic Literature Review

This work presents a Systematic Review of Literature about Just-in-Time Teaching active methodology applied within the sub-areas Physics Teaching and Science Education. After selecting 123 national and international journals, the initial search resulted in 41 articles – later filtered and reduced to 34. These works are subdivided into: Theoretical Work (n = 8), Presentation of Proposals (n = 1) and Proposal with Application (n = 25). The development of studies in Higher Education (n = 24) is predominant, compared to the Basic (n = 7) and Technical (n = 3) levels. Research shows that Just-in-Time Teaching methodology contributes positively to student learning, teacher planning and classroom dynamics.
