Observing the influence of air temperature on the speed of sound propagation with the aid of an acoustic rangefinder

In this work we present a simple experiment that seeks to show the influence of atmospheric air temperature on the speed of sound propagation. The experiment consists of the simultaneous observation of air temperature and the speed of propagation of sound, using diurnal temperature variations. The experiment is based on an acoustic range finder and makes use of an Arduino Uno board with a datalogger shield.
