Introduction to the Physics of the Magnetic Monopole: a classical approach

In this work we will present an introduction to the Physics of the Magnetic Monopole in the non – relativistic regime. The classical treatment of a system composed of an electrically charged point particle in the presence of a magnetic monopole at the origin, with its equations of motion and the study of the Dirac vector potential, will be developed throughout the present work. The issue of singularities and gauge transformations will also be addressed. At the end, we will list some models analogous to the magnetic monopole, using other physical systems.
