The Pupunha program allows the combinations of the various real conditions of the producer and providing an analysis of the viability of irrigating the pejibaye (Bactris gasipaes H.B.K) crop. In order to evaluate the economics of the additional cost of irrigation; the program calculates the necessary production increment to pay for this additional cost. Several types of studies are possible by varying the principal factors that interfere in the total annual cost. The main result is a family of comparative curves for several situations, showing the necessary production increment for different levels of production of pejibaye (kg ha-1).
