Social kimche (sage) memory epistemic-based geographic and territorial knowledge occurs in southern Chile Mapuche families and communities. The referential is human geography, to understand the dynamics and change processes of territory occupation, territoriality and the product of social construction territorialization. The methodology is educational research, to describe and understand knowledge concerning geography and territory in historical and social constructions. The results indicate that historical, ecological, political, sociocultural and spiritual practices constitute central educational content in Mapuche family education. We conclude that these are desirable contents to be incorporated into the school education of Mapuche and non-Mapuche students, in an intercultural education perspective, to form citizens who respect socio-cultural diversity and the environment.
