THE CAPTURE AS EXPERIENCE: PRAGMATIC INQUIRY AND POWER THEORIES

For a long time, the pragmatic sociology considered that it had nothing to argue about power games. One of the rules of its method demanded to approach the actors when they were about to unveil, through polemics and process, forms of power or domination. Based on a number of dossiers, this article demonstrates how to redirect the pragmatic research to comprehend in another manner the critique of power relations, whose degree of public visibility depends on the trajectory followed by the actors taken by the logic of crisis or conflict. The elements of a successful capture, and those in which all the work of escape from the capture is based, will be exposed: imperative of justification, conservation of a need for case recognition, control of evaluation tools, and production of an invisible and unequal exchange.
