O fundamento da imagem-movimento dos corpos em movimento

ABSTRACT

Historical images of corporal practices with didactic objectives are analyzed, starting from the understanding that there is a common axis in the construction of a body formation (Physical Education) and of body narratives (informative documentary cinema) that have their key point in the invention of a body measurement device (chronophotographer) by Étienne Jules Marey towards the end of the 19th century. This interpretation conducts us to observe the dialogue between corporal techniques and cinematographic techniques, and thereby understand the movement-image of bodies in motion as the foundations of a body grammar that constitutes the legitimized (visible), the non-legitimized (non-visible) and the null (invisible).
