The use of fibrin glue in the treatment of anal fistulas has been reported. The aim of this method is to close the fistulous tract, creating a matrix able to promote definitive healing. The thecnique is simple, the fistulous tract is curetted and washed before fibrin glue injection. The procedure can be associated with endorectal advancement flap that enhances cicatrization rates. Healing rates from 30 to 50 % are described. Further treatment options are not compromised by this method.
