Proposal of a model for evaluate the existing principles of learning in a hospital

The objective of this work is to present a structure for assessing organizational learning within a hospital environment. Four learning principles were identified for constructing the proposed model, namely: learning processes, transformation, action and, finally, creation and reflection for learning. Analysis variables were developed for each of these principles. Furthermore, an attempt was made to carry out a practical study into the existence of those learning principles related to the structure proposed. In the hospital studied, when considering the institution’s care group and management group, significant differences can be perceived in the process and learning mechanisms. Based on the structure proposed, the presence of learning variables related to the four principles considered becomes clear, although none of them prevailed.
