Consciousness is the key element of the mental life. It can be understood as an evolutionary tool that scaffolded valorized redescription of presumed acts and perceptions. Consciousness that emerges from the synchronization of neuronal modules would emerge thanks to four necessary conditions: the increase of cerebral tissue (particularly in neocortical areas), the appearance of language, the possibility of recombination of neuronal processing modules through synchronization and the necessity of establishing a valorized discourse of action, the very condition for the appearance of an ethical approach towards the fellow.
