The Oedipus Complex in Winnicott and Lacan

After a brief presentation of the theme of the Oedipus complex in Freud and the director's point of view from which it is thematized, the article shows that in psychoanalytic theories of Lacan and Winnicott this central theme in Freud's theory is radically changed. Finally, the article concludes by indicating a similarity between the two formulations of the Oedipal conflict, as well as a fundamental difference.
