The building up of the subjectivity is discussed, departing from the concept of unconscious in the way this is formuled by Klein and Bion. Some key concepts are examined from the point of view of its present meaning: splitting, projective identification, repression, partial object, transference and position. Finally, the concept of pathology and the way psychic change occur are discussed.
