ART, DANCE AND POLITIC(S)

This text aims at discussing the political conception that intertwines the speeches of contemporary dance based not only on the contextualization but also on political and ethical views proposed by Michel Foucault, Zygmunt Bauman and Jackets Rancière. Besides, Brazilian contemporary publications and reflections on this issue have also been used for this analysis. The importance of resistance found in artistic works has been highlighted since it determines a close relation between an artwork and a political idea. It has led to some tension which is fundamental to both ways to organize the world, i. e., dance and politics.
