Social welfare and psychology: about tension and conflicts of psychologist at the public service

This article aims to discuss the inclusion of psychology in the area of Social Welfare and the professional practice of psychology in the public sector. Thus, the current context of implementation of the Single System of Social Welfare - SUAS was approached, related, especially the performance of the Reference Centers of Social Welfare - CRAS and reflections on the social commitment in Psychology. It considers the importance of understanding the professional as a central element in the construction of the Social Welfare and the development of models of psychological intervention committed to the transformation of social reality and the daily tensions at this work.
