Abstract
The article aims to present the theoretical proposal called the field of power. The concept was developed based on a research with young people who participated in school occupations in the state of São Paulo in 2015 and / or 2016. The research had as theoretical framework the articulation between historical-cultural psychology and Gramscian political theory. The field of power is configured as a psychosocial instrument composed of three intertwined and inseparable dimensions: power to act; learning and development; political praxis. The field of power is characterized as a physical and social environment that favors the production of power to act; democratic and democratizing subjectivities and relations; and reflective and creative political praxis - with multitudinous characteristics. It is understood that the psychosocial action based on the field of power can contribute to the strengthening of movements of fight for rights, as well as with actions in different areas such as: health, education and social assistance.
