This paper makes a brief reading on the documentary Bus 174 (Ônibus 174, Brazil, 2002, direction by José Padilha), aiming to build some bridges between the mediatic and intellectual construction of readings and interpretations about a social fact. For this, it uses specially Jean Baudrillard's theory on simulacres and Gilles Deleuze's on control society.
