THE RIGHTS OF CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS ACCORDING TO PROFESSIONALS IN THE CHILD AND YOUTH AREA OF THE JUDICIARY

Abstract:

This article presents an analysis of the narratives about the rights of children and adolescents produced by judicial professionals in the children and youth area. The theoretical-methodological approach is constructive-interpretative, under the lens of qualitative epistemology, anchored in the concept of performance, which translates the practices and actions that constitute administrative-judicial power over children and adolescents. Narratives traversed by symbols and notions related to broad social issues, such as the representation of families and gender roles, moralities related to childhood and adolescence and the criminalization of poverty are used as elements in the narratives about the rights of children and adolescents, acting as component of the professional performances developed in the juvenile justice area.
