An analysis of the production of the empowered woman

The article discusses the processes of objectification and subjectification of bodies of women from popular classes, through practices of knowledge-power driven by the Program for Training Trainers / the Gender and Public Policies, proposed by the Federação de Órgãos para Assistência Sócio-Educacional (FASE), a non-governmental organization. From the critical reading of feminist practice and analysis of historical documents, seeks to analyze, with the contributions of the tools of genealogy, in Michel Foucault, the practices of FASE as a device for producing modes of subjectivity, seeking to be "empowered woman", aiming at the "transformation of gender relations in society". The text ends up questioning how empowerment as proposed by FASE implies in the production of a vision of power and legal economist, which seeks the redemption of women.
