Six Sigma Methodology has been growing, each day, in the industrial environment as a very efficient tool to solve structural problems through the reduction of process variation and through the supply of service and product in compliance with customer requirements. The main way to achieve this goal is through improvement projects. This way, a very important topic to be discussed is the selection of those projects that will be managed by this methodology. This article presents an application in an automotive industry, regarding its process of Six Sigma project selection. From this study it was possible to prove the existence of a positive influence in the referred process, in project development, for example, regarding the average development time and financial improvements, as the literature reviewed here has shown.
