Schooling in non-scholar institutions: an analysis of experiments in education with workshops in a Custody and Psychiatric Treatment Hospital

Abstract

This paper analyses the presence of schooling elements in non-scholar institutions. Therefore, samples of experiments in education with workshops that happened in a Custody and Psychiatric Treatment Hospital between February and December 2016 are used. In these samples the presence of the following schooling elements takes place: pedagogisation, moralization, participation and democracy, didactic, documentarization, surveillance and bureaucratisation. Such elements show up acting in the body of many subjects involved and schooling appears to be always lurking for, even where it is present as a very temporary/partial aspect, making others educational experiences very fragile and letting open the question about the possibility of others ways of education.
