The influence of disabilities in the communicative construction of consensuses

This paper is based on the habermasian concept of communicative action in order to, through dynamics based on works of Bion and Kholberg, try and illustrate how the physical, visual and auditory disabilities intervene in argumentation processes of consensuses construction, as presented in the Theory of the Communicative Action. Through specific group dynamics with non-defficient as well as visual, auditory and physically disabled people, motivated by proposed discussion topics, an analysis is presented focusing on the communication forms among such individuals in the search for a consensus. The groups, using their own communication strategies, presented the same discussion and communication abilities, regardless of their conditions. I could therefore concludeperceiving the existence of the lifeworld, asdefined by Habermas, in different forms of communication, illustrating the great capacity of interactive resources among human beings, as well as their ability to get adapted to adverse conditions.
