The ethics the Care of the Self in the Brazilian pedagogical field: modes of uses, resonances and challenges

This study aims to discuss the uses of notion the care of the Self Foucaultian in contemporary educational thinking. In this sense, trough a broad theoretical research, investigated how Brazilian researchers have used this notion to think philosophical and educational issues. We note that, in the last decade, self care emerged as a sui generis analytical key to rethinking the idea and the dilemmas of human formation, enabling educators think form a resistance critical and creative the challenges ethic, political and formative of our time. This has contributed mostly to the debate about the criticism of the subject of education. At the same time, the use the care of the self indicate the emergence of a fourth movement of receipt of Foucault in education, differing from the hegemony of the 1980s and 1990s that prevailed the hegemony the analytics of power.
