The language of body culture in the views of early education teachers

The article discusses the possibility of accepting the body culture as systematization of the body language, and the later as source of gesture and expression in childhood education. The main purpose of the research was to identify the teachers understanding of the body culture as an object of study of Physical Education for children. The methodology used was descriptive qualitative research. The results indicate that body practices are contemplated in childhood education, but not always under the auspices of Physical Education. The interviewed teachers, who tend to take into account only the Physical Education past concern with sports, perceive it as not suitable for childhood education. We thus see the need to reframe and present to the teachers of childhood education the meanings of the contemporary Physical Education, which understands the body culture as a systematization of the body language.
