This article aims to think the idea of law in psychoanalysis, where that is taught only in the levei of language. The author thinks that there is a kind of gap between the universa!ity of the idea of law and the practices of judgement in Brazil, in order to discuss a hypothesis where the subjectivity is represented by the relationship between the psychical economy and the political economy.
