Psychologist in the psychiatric reform process: deconstruction practices?

This work is the result of an investigation conducted with psychologists of the CAPS network in the municipality of Natal/RN. It is a qualitative study that utilized semi-structured interviews and systematic observations with a cartographic perspective. The investigation focused on the relation between the academic formation obtained in the undergraduate courses and the work demands, and on the mapping of the daily activities conducted in the service settings. In the first point of focus, a distance was observed between the contents discussed in the university and the questions presented in the service environment, indicating weaknesses in the formation of health professionals for practice settings. The main activities conducted were: reception of service users, triage, coordination of, and participation in, diverse workshops and operational therapeutic groups, and individual assistance, with the latter being the focus of analysis.
