THE AUTISTIC LOGIC: AN ANALYSIS THROUGH THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF ONE AUTISTIC

The literature of autistic persons provides evidence of the conditions under which it is possible to overcome the autistic aloneness. There is the testimony of many autistic people about their will to break down the barriers of self-protection, since there is a respect for autistic logic, which provides evidence of the therapeutic possibilities and viable ways for treatment that can be deployed from the analysis of the autistic writer Naoki Higashida's autobiography. This paper examines the transformative potential of writing in autism, providing the changes of the subjective position of the autistic. The invention of Naoki's literature portrays the therapeutic effects of writing, highlighting its importance as a major tool for (self-) treatment in autism, giving us clues about the conditions which make possible leaving the autistic isolation, through those various created strategies that, with a relative effectiveness, allow him to keep his pseudopods extended towards others. We conclude that the writing in autism may enable both the (self)therapeutic work and the orientation of treatment by the analyst.
