Effect of glyphosate and associations in post-emergence on the agronomic performance and quality of RR® soybean seeds

This study aimed to evaluate the components of yield and quality of RR®soybean seeds, as a result of the application of glyphosate alone or in tank mixture in post-emergence. Field experiments were carried out in Mandaguari, Paraná, in two seasons. Tested treatments consisted of glyphosate (960), glyphosate+fluazifop-p-butyl+fomesafen in two different combinations (960+187, 5+187.5 and 960+312.5+312.5), glyphosate+bentazon (960+720), glyphosate+chlorimuron-ethyl (960+25), weed and non-weeded control. All applications were performed once, between the V4 and V5 stages. The design was entirely randomized with four replicates. The design was entirely randomized with four replicates. Besides quality, yield and mass of one thousand seeds were evaluated. Data were analyzed regarding variance, and means were compared through the Scott-Knott grouping method. The mixtures glyphosate + chlorimuronethyl and fluazifop-p-butyl+fomesafen compromised agronomic performance. The mixture Glyphosate+chlorimuron-ethyl mixture was considered the most harmful. Associations have the potential to adversely affect the quality of seeds, especially regarding vigor.
