Morphological study of the dispersal units and their plants of six weeds of family Cyperaceae

The main objective of this work was to show that it is possible to separate taxoconomicaly the six studied species, based on the morphological characteristics of the dispersal units associated with the shape, type and position of the embryo in relation to the storage tissue. In this study it have been also used the associated structures of the dispersal units which are very important in the classification and identification of the species of this family. The description, drawings and photographs o f the plants and their dispersal units were carried out in the following species : Carexsororia Kunth ., Cyperus ferax L. C. Ri ch ., Eleocharis geniculata (L.) Roem. et Schult ., Eleocharis sellowiana Ku nth ., Fimbri stylis autumnalis (L. ) Roem. et Schul t . e Fimbri stylis diphylla (Retz.) Vahl. Morphological description were also carried out through two taxonomical keys in order to help in the identification of the plants and of the units of dispersion of the species studied. Foreach species there were included the common names, and whenever as possible, a description of the habitat, life cycle, phenology, type of reproduction, geographical distribution and other informations were added , such as the crop in which it was considered as a weed, th e agricultural seeds in which the dispersal unit was found as a weed seed.
