Herbicides efficacy on black oats (Avena strigosa) desiccation in no-tillage system

Black oats (Avena strigosa) desiccation for mulching was done with sulfosate at 96, 288 and 480 g/ha and the formulation of paraquat + diuron at 100+50, 200+100 and 300+150 g/ha at spraying volumes of 100, 214 and 325 I/ha. A nonionic surfactant was added to the paraquat+diuron solution. The experimental design was a split-plot randomized block with four replicates. Herbicide doses were the main plot treatments and the spraying volumes, the sub-plot treatments. Plants of black oats were controled with sulfosate doses of 288 and 480 g/ha at the three spraying volumes. There was no regrowth at 32 days after the spraying. Paraquat + diuron was not efficient for desiccating black oats.
