ABSTRACT

Technological advancement has been influencing relationships between individuals, with different needs and skills. In this scenario, the Deaf use Libras as their first language and main form of communication and expression. The article presents a research that sought to understand how Deaf users interact with information on the web, specifically in the context of the Lattes - CNPq curriculum page. The approach is quali-quantitative, with descriptive purpose, direct method and applied nature. It is based on collecting data from a script with observation and analysis in the comparative study. It was found that the web is able to democratize information and promote Deaf user interaction. However, it is necessary to implement initiatives that consider their linguistic specificities.
