The socio-constructionist approach and the production of senses about unemployment: a study on the industrial sector of the Belo Horizonte Metropolitan Region (RM-BH)

The employment as an, category of refistered work, takes up a large part of the workforce in Brazil, therefore, unemployment is a important and current matter of discussion in the Brazilian context. The unemployment maybe better comprehended as a social and historical development, involving the social subjects and the condition they work. For this, rejoicing concepts of the constructionism approach and analysis of the discursive practices. An argument was developed with the empirical research, made in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte, State of Minas Gerais, Brasil, with the goal of comprehending the production process of senses in the unemployment phenomenon, from the discursive practices of the involved subjects. There were four repertoires identified: the refistered worker's condition; changes in the industrial work configuration; the unemploymest's condition; and the unregistered worker's conditions. This study can help to advance in a theoretical and methodological debate account the studies about the reality of work/employment.
