PROJECTS TO GENERATE EMPLOYMENT AND INCOME AND THE UNEMPLOYED WORKERS’ CLASS CONSCIOUSNESS

We aim to analyze the process of formation of class consciousness in unemployed who claimed the implementation of Public Policies for generating Work and Income, identifying the contradictory developments in working practices in the outskirts of cities. Therefore, we analyzed the experiences of working as practiced by members of the Unemployed Workers Movement (MTD) in the light of the debate about Marxist class consciousness. The methodology used in the present work is characteristic of the dialectical-materialist approach, which is based in three assumptions: contradiction, totality and historicity. We conclude that the dispute over the application of public funds enables the convergence of the immediate interests of the group to the necessary interests of the class, revealing the mediation of the state in the antagonistic relationship capital and labor. The objectification of the projects have at least two contradictory: on the one hand, members of the MTD is still needed to produce the movement of accumulation, mechanism that leverages the capital appreciation, and the very condition of existence of the capitalist mode of production; secondly, they deny this so antagonistic control sociometabolismo of humanity, manifesting itself as a concrete possibility of organizing the working class.
